The Anglican Diocese of Edmonton has some financial supports available for individuals from under-represented communities interested in leadership training.
If you would like to apply for support, please fill in this form, providing as much detail as possible. The diocese is required to meet the objectives of the use of the funds in question.
Please note that this fund is to help with tuition and other costs involved in taking a leadership training program through another organization. The Diocese is not running a training program. You must find a program yourself and show how it will help you contribute to leadership in the Diocese of Edmonton or one of its organizational partners. Some places to look are the continuing education departments of colleges, universities, and seminaries, or online classes in leadership skills. The program you propose must fit the grant requirements (to develop leadership skills among underrepresented communities in the Diocese of Edmonton and its organizational partners). You will be responsible for managing your own registration, supplies, and coursework.
Please allow a reasonable period of time before the registration date of the leadership or educational program in question.
If you encounter any problems with this form, please call the office of the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton at 780-439-7344.
Eligibility - To be eligible, applicant must be a member of one of the following categories and be a member of an Anglican church or connected to the Anglican church through one of our partners.
Reference Required: All applications will require a reference letter to be submitted from someone who knows the applicant and can speak to the applicant's eligibility and how this funding will support their future leadership within the Diocese of Edmonton or one of our ecumenical or organizational partners.
The letter of reference should be sent by the reference directly to the Synod Office at churched@edmonton.anglican.ca.
The Synod Office must receive the letter of reference before your application can proceed.
